I bought this based on the description and previous reviews, as I love spicy, earthy scents. Unfortunately I'm *really* not getting the wonderful rich 'baking cookies' experience most seem to be. I do get a whiff of sweetness when I first open the jar, but it's quickly overwhelmed by sour cardamom-y top notes, which are also the only ones that linger. The whipped soap itself is easy and luxurious to use, and I'll definitely be buying it in other scents. Just wanted to warn others that this one may not perform for your nose as planned.
I was so excited to get some whipped soap with this release and I was not disappointed! The jar it comes in is a sturdy but not overly thick standard plastic jar with a twist off lid. It's filled right to the top as the picture shows, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. The mica drizzle found on the top and throughout the jar is so pretty and mesmerizing to watch in the light.
The soap itself is soft but has some body to it. As it hit the water and my skin it slowly dissolved into a smooth, creamy lather. A little bit does go a long way!
As for the scent, just wow. This is a warm, deep, powerful, spicy scent. Cinnamon is the most prevalent scent, but the combination of the other spice notes swirls into a wonderful mix that smells like bakery goods and Christmas decorations all at once. I personally also get a faint undertone of cocoa or hot chocolate, but that might just be my nose. If you're sensitive to smells this might be a little intense for you, but for myself, I was absolutely delighted!
